Sarah's guest this week is the author Ben Okri. Ben shot to literary fame when his novel The Famished Road won the 1991 Man Booker Prize, making him the youngest ever recipient at the time. Ben grew up in Nigeria and London surrounded by his father's impressive personal library and published his first novel aged 19. Ben's writing often touches on magical themes, while also dealing with the big questions of life. As well as discussing his writing and his life, throughout the week Ben will be sharing some of his favourite classical music.

Proms Artist of the Week: Christian Tetzlaff
Sarah's Proms Artist of the Week is the German violinist Christian Tetzlaff. Tetzlaff has long been regarded as one of the world's leading violinists, breathing fresh life into the classics and championing new works. He's been Artist in Residence with the Berlin Philharmonic and he's appeared regularly as a guest with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, New York Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Tetzlaff appears at the 大象传媒 Proms this week (15th August), playing Berg's Violin Concerto with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra under Robin Ticciati. This week Sarah has chosen Tetzlaff's recordings of concertante works by Mozart, Szymanowski and Dvorak, as well as chamber music by Schumann and Brahms.
