Jennifer is called out, and Rex blows away the blues.

Anisha finds a dead deer on the road, Jennifer stops to check if she's OK. Anisha hopes she will lend a hand in moving it out of the way but Jennifer's not wearing the right shoes. Later with Rex, Anisha recalls Jennifer's unhelpfulness. Then, as she goes over Alistair's revelations, her mood blackens. Rex hints gently that she might be a bit quick to judge. To cheer her up he takes her for a night run up Lakey Hill. It works, and they survey the village in the moonlight. Anisha rationalises; she's not in a perfect situation, but she's still in control.

Susan accompanies Lynda to the housing development meeting - she's keen to quiz Lynda on what she received in Caroline's will. Lynda refuses to be charmed by Justin at the meeting, and makes her case against the proposed housing. Justin puts his eloquent counter argument, but only Emma applauds. Jennifer's rather pointed comments about social housing rile Emma, and she makes an impassioned speech of her own, shaming Jennifer and putting the case for young people wanting to get a start in life. Later Neil gives Emma the news that the parish council has given its approval to the development. Emma should be very proud of herself.
