Soweto Kinch presents Carla Bley's trio in concert at London's Pizza Express Jazz Club.
Last autumn, the doyenne of jazz composers and bandleaders Carla Bley appeared on Jazz Now directing the Charlie Haden Liberation Music Orchestra. In this week's programme, she returns with a group that's she's worked in for over two decades, and which released the album "Trio" in 2013, that has been widely acclaimed as one of her finest works. Soweto Kinch presents the Carla Bley Trio with Andy Sheppard (reeds) and Steve Swallow (bass) in concert at London's Pizza Express Jazz Club.
