Nick Luscombe

Nick Luscombe with new field recordings from the Gion Matsuri festival in Kyoto, Australian 'multi-octave delirium' on piano, and something sea-snail-inspired.

Nick Luscombe shares musical dispatches from places that aren't in the guidebook. We've an electro-acoustic postcard inspired by sea-snails from Belgian artist Lieven Martens; and the pace quickens with multi-tracked, 'multi-octave delirium' from Australian pianists Chris Abrahams and Anthony Pateras. Closer to the tourist trail, but with fresh ears, Nick shares his new field recordings of the Gion Matsuri festival that's held in Kyoto, Japan each summer.
