Tony wants to talk about Johnny's post-college plans. He's pleased with Johnny's progress, but understands that he doesn't want to continue studying. Tony hopes that, by the time Johnny leaves, Bridge Farm will be able to support a full-time post running the veg boxes. Johnny's grateful, but would rather keep his options open. Pat gently reminds Tony that he was the same at Johnny's age. Tony grudgingly agrees that looking around isn't such a bad idea.

Eddie mentions he's been chatting to Cecil Jackson about Joe and Bert's traditional rivalry at the Flower and Produce Show. Joe is furious - now Cecil has an unfair advantage. As Eddie tells him about Cecil's impressive greenhouse, Joe realises Cecil might present serious competition.

Ian is worried about Oliver selling Grey Gables. Adam points out that the new owners might keep him on. But even if they did, that doesn't mean Ian would want to work for them. Adam is still keen to talk about Ian wanting a child. He's unsettled by the idea that Ian might have been feeling unfulfilled all this time. Adam's glad that Ian was honest with him, but Ian regrets saying anything. He'd rather pretend it didn't happen and never talk about children again.
