In the first programme of the series, film maker and songwriter John T Davis talks about his love for cowboy music, a passion that started when he was a young boy watching western movies on TV and has since influenced his work on film and on record.

John chooses some of his favourite songs, by artists such as Marty Robbins, Hank Williams and Dave Stamey.
