Imelda May picks the Tracks of My Years
Imelda May, the Irish singer-songwriter who has performed alongside some of the biggest artists in the world picks the Tracks of My Years and there's another edition of PopMaster.
Imelda May, the Irish singer-songwriter picks the Tracks of My Years with songs from U2 and Janis Joplin. Imelda broke into the mainstream after her album 'Love Tattoo' went to number one in Ireland and was picked up by Jools Holland who then invited her onto his TV show 'Later...' and took her on tour. Imelda's gone on to perform alongside legendary artists including Lou Reed, Tom Jones, Lulu, Bono and Smokey Robinson. Her latest album 'Life. Love. Flesh. Blood' was produced by the legendary T Bone Burnett and recorded over seven days in Los Angeles, featuring musical contributions from Jeff Beck. Imelda has also been on tour this summer in America, including dates supporting Elvis Costello.
Ken also has another edition of PopMaster and the daily love song, plus the album and record of the week. If you want to contact the show, just email ken.bruce@bbc.co.uk.
