Janice Forsyth talks to Robert Harris, Bananarama and Holby City's Joe McFadden

Janice Forsyth talks to Bananarama, before they embark on their UK wide tour. Strictly Ballroom contender Joe McFadden talks about his first live show and jiving.

Bananarama made it into the Guinness Book of Records as the most successful female group of all time. They've had more hit singles than any other girl band ever. The biggest girl group in the 80s are reforming to do a tour starting this November. The Trio catch-up with Janice to talk about getting ready for the tour which includes Scotland.

The dancing is starting to get serious on Strictly. With the first big night for the newbies just over we get a sense of the excitement and tension from Scottish actor Joe McFadden as he takes time out from rehearsals for his routine and his duties on Holby City.

The Last Post is the new 大象传媒 TV drama starting on Sunday. It's set in the 1960s and is based in the scorching heat of Aden. It's from BAFTA winning writer Peter Moffat who is also responsible for Criminal Justice, The Village and Silk amongst many others. It stars Chris Reilly who will be in studio to talk to Janice about his role and also how he got into acting.

Best-selling writer Robert Harris is in Edinburgh to talk about his latest novel Munich. Set during the week running up to the signing of the Munich Agreement. He mixes fiction with fact to give us the drama and characters involved in attempting to avoid the second world war. Robert who has written many best sellers many turned into films comes into our Edinburgh studio to talk to Janice about Munich and his fascination with this period of history.

For our occasional series, WRITERS AND THEIR BOOKSHELVES , we visit Karen Campbell's home in Dumfries and Galloway who doesn't like to declutter her collection.

Scottish Mezzo Soprano Karen Cargill sings Elgar at the City Halls in Glasgow on 28th September. It's part of the 大象传媒 SSO's latest season and will also be broadcast live on 大象传媒 Radio 3. It's been a busy spell for Karen touring and busy at home, with three performances at the Edinburgh International Festival including the 70th anniversary concert, as well as taking part of the Proms. Just before they started rehearsals for Die Walkure at the Usher hall before the Festival, Edinburgh based mezzo soprano Andrea Baker caught up with Karen Cargill at her home where they discussed many things related and unrelated to a life in Opera.
