On Tuesday we brought you the story of 90-year-old Ella Killow. After some time in hospital the Belfast Trust were unable to provide a care package for her to return home. So instead, she is in a nursing home. Both Ella and her family want her to see out her days surrounded by friends and family. Vinny has been out to see Ella, her daughter Nancy and granddaughter Marlene, and we got reaction from Eddie Lynch, Commissioner for Older People in Northern Ireland.
Also on the programme, four catholic families forced from their homes in a flagship shared housing project in Belfast. 'Together: Building a United Community' was launched by the Executive to "improve community relations". But should shared areas be pushed by government in this way? Can that ever work? Vinny got the the views of UUP councillor Chris McGimpsey, Alliance Party councillor for the area, Michael Long, and loyalist blogger Jamie Bryson, who released a statement defending the UVF.
And, a 14-year-old girl has been told that she may have to wait up to a year for an urgent operation on her spine. Megan Fleming has been diagnosed with scoliosis of the spine and this week was told by her consultant that the need for surgery was critical. Vinny has been speaking to Megan and her mum Karen.
