Joe's Big Band Bonanza showcases the best big band music has to offer including arrangements from Buddy Rich, Nelson Riddle, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Gordon Goodwin and Stan Kenton. Among the songs, classics including 'Too Close For Comfort', 'Mack the Knife', 'Ain't Misbehavin' and 'Something's Gotta Give'.
The programme also includes the duelling pianos of Joe and Anthony on a specially arranged Big Band medley - for two pianos!
Madeline Bell is the doyenne of female jazz vocalists. Most famous for Blue Mink, she has worked with Dusty Springfield, Georgie Fame and the Rolling Stones amongst others! Tonight she pays special tribute to the jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald.
Conducted by Chris Egan, the 大象传媒 Big Band contains some of the best jazz musicians Great Britain has to offer!
In amongst the music, Joe Stilgoe also pays tribute to the great Peter Skellern who died in 2017.
