Did you know that Belfast City Council has an Irish-language phone service? If you didn't, you may not be the only one as the service has never been used. Journalist Stephen Gamble, writing in the Newsletter, has discovered that the service set up over a decade ago has not been used once since its inception.

Did you know that Belfast City Council has an Irish Language phone service? If you didn't, you may not be the only one as the service has never been used. Journalist Stephen Gamble writing in the Newsletter has discovered that the service set up over a decade ago has not been used once since its inception.

A man who punched his baby nephew in the face as he assaulted his brother at a house in Londonderry has been given a suspended jail term.

26 year-old Aaron O'Kane admitted committing the two assaults on his brother and nephew in the family home in the Carnhill area of Derry in April.
The incident happened after Mr O'Kane had been on a drinking session.

Secretary of State James Brokenshire has told an event at the Conservative Party conference that Westminster may soon have to 'set a budget for Northern Ireland'.

He told those attending the event the move is "coming down the track quite rapidly".

DUP leader Arlene Foster and Sinn F茅in's Stormont leader Michelle O'Neill were attending the The Champ Ulster Fry Breakfast, a regular fringe event held at both the Labour and Conservative conferences.

The TUV say the PSNI have questions to answer after a historical event, including what's been described as聽re-enactments of recent IRA operations, went ahead last weekend. The event in Derry/Londonderry was organised by the Spirit of Freedom Flute Band. Pictures in today's Belfast Telegraph show men dressed in balaclavas with modern day imitation assault rifles.

You might remember back in August we talked about the whole e-bike situation. We revealed to the public that unlike England , Scotland and Wales, people in Northern Ireland must have their ebikes insured, taxed and possibly MOT'd.聽
When we last covered this story, e-bike owners had been advised to NOT use their ebikes and it seemed to be impossible to register an ebike in Northern Ireland.
Anne believes she is the first registered and insured E-bike owner in the UK.
