Mark Radcliffe hears from R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe and Mike Mills about the 25th anniversary of their landmark album 'Automatic for the People'. The album sold over eighteen million copies worldwide and spawned a string of hit singles including 'Man on the Moon', 'Nightswimming' and 'Everybody Hurts.' Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones also provided string arrangements on a number of tracks.

Formed in 1980 in Athens, Georgia, the legendary group won multiple Grammys and released 15 studio albums. They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 before disbanding amicably in 2011. Michael and Mike join Mark to chat about the album's impact and it's anniversary remastering including previously unreleased material.
