Anger over city deal plan for Belfast while Derry/Londonderry is snubbed

City deals allow the city to have powers to create economic growth, help businesses grow and decide how public money should be spent.

The SDLP has slammed the British government, claiming Derry/Londonderry has been sidelined again. SDLP leader Colum Eastwood hit out yesterday after the chancellor, Philip Hammond, announced a consultation on a city deal for Belfast.

Mr Eastwood says it's a disgrace that the government has failed to commit to a Derry City Deal.

A pupil sent to detention in school, for not being clean shaven.
One Nolan listener contacted the show about that very problem. He said 'my son has been given detention for not being clean shaven and having stubble. Some of the teachers have stubble and beards.

 The niece of a man who was once accused of being a serial killer has waived her right to anonymity to tell her story.  
Debbie Ross says as a child she was abused by Leslie Ross from Dromore.  
The trial for the abuse was halted when he died two weeks ago. 
This is the first time that a relative of the man once accused of being a serial killer has spoken and gives an insight into his character. 
In 2015 he was accused of murdering three of his former girlfriends - but was eventually cleared of all the murder charges.
