The search for the country's 2017 culinary superstar continues. Marcus sets the six chefs the task of preparing and cooking a fresh pasta dish with tiger prawns.
The Bafta-winning hit is back for its tenth series. Celebrated MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace, chef Monica Galetti and two-Michelin-starred Marcus Wareing are together once again in their search for the UK's finest cooking talent.
In the second heat of the week, six of the UK's chefs make the journey to the MasterChef kitchen ready to fight for the coveted title. First up is the terrifying skills test. Marcus sets the six chefs the task of preparing and cooking a fresh pasta dish with tiger prawns. Any chef should have the skills and know-how to achieve a great pasta dish but in the heat of the competition will their pasta dishes match expectations?
In the signature dish round, the chefs showcase their palate, presentation and personal style. The resulting dishes enable the judges to decide who is worthy of a place in the quarter-final.
Three chefs will leave the competition and the strongest three will continue through to the quarter-final, one step closer to being crowned MasterChef: The Professionals Champion 2017.
