Scoil Bhr铆de, the first all-Irish school outside the Gaeltacht, was co-founded in Dublin in 1917 by Louise Gavan Duffy and Anne McHugh. One hundred years later there are more than 55,000 pupils attending all-Irish schools. To celebrate the centenary of Scoil Bhr铆de, past pupil R贸is铆n Kelleher examines the history and influence of the school and the life of its principal founder, Louise Gavan Duffy.
