Brian sets out his vision, and Eddie comforts the cast.

Christian Wyver from The Echo arrives at Home Farm to interview Brian. Brian is very flattered by his questions, and paints a rosy picture of the future of agriculture post-Brexit. He even turns the embarrassing picture of him dressed as a town crier into a positive, claiming that it reflects the fact that he is but a humble Ambridge resident with a sense of humour.

Later, Brian and Jennifer attend the opening night of the Sleeping Beauty pantomime.

Jennifer speaks to Nic, and finds out the truth about the Boxing Day shoot. Will was in an impossible position, and Jennifer chastises Brian for not establishing the facts. Brian promises to put things right without revealing Nic as the source of the information.

Before the pantomime starts Eddie hands around a bottle of brandy. The cast needs something to fortify themselves against Lynda's antics. Lynda refuses to partake. On stage, she launches into a lengthy new monologue in which she attempts to give the bad fairy a tragic backstory. The audience is baffled by this bizarre tonal shift. Neil, Eddie and Kirsty conclude that it went dreadfully. Eddie offers to bring a bigger bottle tomorrow, but Kirsty thinks there isn't enough alcohol in the world...
