Radio 2's Tracks of My Years playlist brings together the musical choices of American rhythm and blues and gospel singer, Mavis Staples. Mavis was born July 10, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois. She began singing with her family, The Staple Singers, at local Chicago churches before signing with the gospel label Vee-Jay Records in 1953. Her track choices include music from Al Green, Prince and Bonnie Raitt.
