Call You and Yours: Have you changed what you buy because of fears over waste plastics?
Have you changed what you buy because you are worried about waste plastics? The Government want to eliminate plastic waste by 2042. Are you doing your bit?
'Call You and Yours' - have you changed what you buy because of fears over waste plastics? Last week the Government announced it wanted to eliminate "avoidable plastic waste" over the next 25 years. People have become worried about it again after David Attenborough's 'Blue Planet 2' programme showed the damage plastic is doing to the world's oceans. There's talk of a 'latte levy' on single-use coffee cups. Recycling has fallen off the radar in the UK in recent years - less than half the people in England and Scotland recycle. And of all the plastic packaging produced globally each year, only 14% is collected for recycling and of that only 2% gets recycled into something that can be used a second time. But whether it's Blue Planet-politics or not, campaigners say the issue is again rising to the top of the agenda.
So we want to know - have you changed what you buy because you're worried about waste plastics?
