Tributes are paid to the young woman killed after she was knocked down by a van near Toomebridge.
The police are investigating the death of a teenager on a road near Toomebridge at the weekend. Shannon McQuillian, who was 19 and from the Dunloy area, died after being struck by a van in the early hours of Saturday morning. A 21-year-old man who was also struck by the vehicle on the Moneynick Road remains in a critical condition in hospital. It's believed both had been on a night out. The circumstances into the accident have now been passed to the Police Ombudsman.
