Nation's Favourites: Monty Don

Jo sits down with Monty Don to talk through his life as a writer, husband and gardener. Jo will explore Monty's world from dark days of depression to tomfoolery as a teenager.

Tonight Jo is joined by one of Britain's most trusted television presenters, Monty Don. Monty was the first untrained presenter to front Gardeners' World and has since gone on to host many documentaries on the world of nature and the outdoors.

From starting his days as a writer and running a jewellery business with his wife Sarah, to almost losing it all and living with depression Monty gives us an insight to his fascinating life.

This evening Monty walks Jo through his career as well as playing some of his favourite musical choices that have signposted it over the years.
