Brian comes to a decision, and Nic loses her temper.
Jennifer persuades Brian to go out for a meal at The Bull - they've got nothing to hide. Brian agrees; he only wishes that Alan could get the whole village to sign up to this 'no complaining for Lent' appeal that way he'd feel safe enough to show his face.
David's been sent to The Bull to after losing his rag at Ben. Things were busy with lambing, he tells Jolene, and Ruth and Josh were tied up with the calving and with Pip not being able to help David had roped Ben in but Ben hadn't come up to scratch and David lost his temper. He admits to Jolene that he and Ruth are on their knees. Jolene reminds him that Toby had offered to help.
Whilst Nic's on shift at The Bull, she and Emma have words about Emma dropping Nic in it over the Valentines quiz idea that the Tea Room took. Soon Will joins in and the argument escalates, Nic calls Emma a nasty piece of work and Emma storms out causing a scene. Jolene sees and tells Nic they be won't needing her to stay to the end of her shift 'she will not have slinging matches in her pub!'
Brian gets a call from Justin - the BL board are holding an emergency meeting next week. They're furious about the article in The Courier. Brian tells Jennifer that they can smell blood and they're looking for a fight which is exactly why he's not going to give it to them - he's going to resign from the Board.
