This week it's Nilsson Schmilsson, released by Harry Nilsson in 1971.

Don says, "At a 1968 press conference the Beatles were asked who their favourite American artist was. They replied 'Nilsson'. Harry Nilsson became great friends and drinking buddies with Ringo Starr and John Lennon.

Rarely performing in public or touring, Nilsson, with his soaring three-and-a-half octave tenor and pioneering harmony overdubs, felt more at home in the studio. This, his seventh album was recorded in London in 1971 and became his most successful, yielding three big hits.".
