Theresa May is to meet her cabinet to discuss joining a military strike on Syria.

Are the superpowers of Russia and the US about to come into direct conflict in Syria? Donald Trump has warned Russia that missile strikes against its ally, the Assad regime, will come soon in response to the recent suspected chemical attack. Theresa May's to meet the cabinet to discuss joining the military action against Syria. But the former British ambassador to the United States, Sir Christopher Meyer said any attack on Syria would be fraught with danger.

And an ambitious multi-million pound project that will turn the former Waterside Railway station in Derry into a what's being described as a transport hub has been given the go ahead. Members of Derry City and Strabane District Council's Planning Committee approved the scheme yesterday. But there has been some controversy... almost 3,000 people signed a petition calling for an alternative plan for the station.
