Brenda Holloway
Mark and Stuart are joined by Motown singer and Northern Soul star Brenda Holloway.
Mark and Stuart are joined by Motown singer and Northern Soul star Brenda Holloway. She was signed to Berry Gordy's Motown label as a teenager and released hit single 'Every Little Bit Hurts' soon after, in 1964. She co-wrote the song You've Made Me So Very Happy," which was a huge hit for Blood, Sweat & Tears in 1969. And she toured with The Beatles, opening for them at their legendary Shea Stadium show. Years later her songs became a fixture on many Northern Soul dancefloors and today she chats to Mark and Stuart ahead of her forthcoming UK live performances.
Also on the show today, trusty features The Chain - YOU get to suggest the next track, connected any way you like to the one before it - and Tea Time Theme Time, the end-of-show tracks linked to one another BUT HOW? It's up to you to get in touch and guess the connection
Plus a daily gathering of Music News, and a smattering of all the latest records gathered by Mark and Stuart too.
