The Don's selections cross time, space and genre.

Each week, as well as blending his favourite new music with classics from the UK, USA, Jamaica, Africa and way beyond, Don highlights a piece of Crucial Vinyl - a cherished album from his own collection. This week it's So So Def Bass All Stars Vol. II, a various artists collection released in 1997.

Don says, "Based in Atlanta, Georgia, So So Def is a label run by multi-talented producer Jermaine Dupri, a pioneer of southern hip hop. With his roster of artists he created a vocal-driven beat 'n' bass genre all of its own that, for the most part, went unnoticed in the UK. It's a straight-up party record and still perfect for the summer.".
