Johnnie is joined this week by singer/songwriter, producer and co-founder of Squeeze, Chris Difford.

Chris was born in 1954 in Greenwich, south London. He is best known for his songwriting partnership with Squeeze bandmate Glen Tilbrook which began after he stole 50p from his mum's purse and advertised for a guitarist in a local sweet shop. Some of their best-known songs such as 'Cool For Cats' and 'Up the Junction' were part of the musical landscape of the 1970's.

Squeeze formed in 1974 in Deptford. The band has undergone several line-up changes and has broken up several times since. Chris is currently performing live again on various festival dates in the UK this summer.

All in all, Chris has written and recorded 15 albums with Squeeze - the latest, 'The Knowledge', came out last year. As well as also having released music as a solo artist, he has also branched out into artist management, looking after 70's icon Bryan Ferry and young rock band, the Strypes. Chris has also written a book about his life, called 'Some Fantastic Place'.
