Mark Chapman presents highlights of the day's two games in the last 16, with Spain taking on hosts Russia and Croatia meeting Denmark.

Spain beat the Russians on the way to winning Euro 2008, and they've since added the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012 to their list of honours. A number of key players remain from those past successes - such as Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique and Sergio Ramos - and they will be hoping to add to their burgeoning medal haul this summer.

Croatia won all of their games in Group D, including an impressive 3-0 win against Argentina. It is the first time the Croats have won three successive games at the tournament, and they boast a truly formidable midfield line-up, featuring Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic. Denmark, however, will be a tough nut to crack. The Danes only conceded one goal in three group games (a penalty versus Australia) and they frustrated the French in their last game, grinding out a 0-0 draw.
