Jake Shears, who shot to fame as the frontman of the Scissor Sisters performs live in the Radio 2 Piano Room. Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol picks the Tracks of My Years.

Jake Shears, who shot to fame as lead singer of the band Scissor Sisters performs live in the Radio 2 Piano Room. He's performing music from his debut solo album 'Creep City' as well as an exclusive cover. This is the Scissor Sisters frontman's first full-length work since that group's album 'Magic Hour' and hiatus in 2012. Following the hiatus announcement, Jake spent a few lost years in Los Angeles, before taking an ever-increasing number of visits to New Orleans, which became a new muse and home. Jake has also performed on Broadway in New York this year in the Kinky Boots musical and releases his autobiography in tandem with the new album. The Radio 2 Piano Room has hosted previous performances from stars including Elkie Brooks, The Shires, Gary Barlow, The Script, Christine McVie, Craig David and Joan Armatrading.
Gary Lightbody, the lead-singer and songwriter from the multi-million selling band Snow Patrol picks the Tracks of My Years with songs from U2 and Otis Redding. This year Snow Patrol released 'Wildness' their first album in seven years and they're touring the USA with Ed Sheeran before setting out on their own UK tour. The band has sold over 15 million records worldwide, has five UK platinum albums and gathered over 1 billion streams of their music. They've been nominated for the Mercury Prize, a Grammy Award and multiple Brit Awards and also won an Ivor Novello. Snow Patrol have some of the most well-known songs of a generation with hit singles - 'Chocolate', 'Run', 'Just Say Yes' and 'Chasing Cars'.
