Janice Forsyth is joined at the Edinburgh Festival by Gyles Brandreth

The Ukulele Death Squad, author, ex-MP and One Show reporter Gyles Brandreth, and one of the UK's most compelling songwriters, Kathryn Joseph.

The Afternoon Show's second week at the Edinburgh Festival in the 大象传媒 Big Blue Tent kicks off with lots of laughs as the actor, author, ex-MP, One Show reporter, QI, Have I Got News for You and Countdown star GYLES BRANDRETH discusses his new show celebrating all things theatrical - Gyles Brandreth: Break a Leg!

His son BENET will join him on stage too! He also has an Edinburgh show, entitled A Hero for Our Times - a comic tale of love, loss, redemption and ramekins.

The world's most dangerous ukulele group, the amazing UKULELE DEATH SQUAD, will provide uplifting musical accompaniment to the proceedings, and the hilarious SINDHU VEE will be talking about her highly anticipated debut show in Edinburgh - SINDHU VEE: SANDHOG, in which she explains how loving your children, spouse and aging parents is very hard work, very intense and, a lot of the time, it sucks!!

One of the UK's most compelling songwriters, Kathryn Joseph, will be playing and singing live, and you've seen him in Mad Men, you've seen him in Billions, you've seen him in Hail Caesar! - Allan Havey will be joining Janice on stage to show why he's one of the best stand-ups in the world working today.

The legendary British actor, writer, theatre director, producer and playwright Guy Masterson will be talking about recreating Scrooge, Marley, Fezziwigs and Tiny Tim in an enchanting staging of A Christmas Carol that promises to dazzle and dunk you in the pre-Christmas spirit!

All that and The Rockford File, an appealing homage to 1970s TV Private Eye Jim Rockford filtered through the lens of classic Ealing comedies and brilliant live roots music.
