A Limavady woman has been paid 拢25,000 in a sex discrimination case. Sharon Douglas brought a case against Causeway, Coast and Glens Borough Council, which didn't admit liability. She was the only female employed in the Technical Services section of the Council's Environmental Services Department before she resigned in May. Ms Douglas alleged that she was discriminated against in the allocation of overtime and training facilities and that she was subjected to harassment, including being asked to clean the kitchen and toilets because they "needed a woman's touch".
