Ed is best known as the first person ever to walk the length of the Amazon river. He filmed and blogged this epic two and a half year journey himself and it was later turned into a hugely successful documentary broadcast on the Discovery Channel. Since then Ed has led further explorations into some of the most hostile and intimidating terrain on the planet and has recorded further adventure/ survival series for Discovery. Two years ago Ed married fellow record breaking adventurer Laura Bingham and they now have a baby son. Ed's new book Adventures for a Lifetime is his hand picked collection of jaw dropping adventure trips from some of the most stunning locations in the world. Ed is passionate about inspiring people to get out of their comfort zone and embrace an element of risk to truly reap the rewards of travel and exploration
