ACR have recorded two new songs to be released with new compilation acr:set - now that's exciting. The first of which is called Make It Happen the other Dirty Boy.

A Certain Ratio have recorded 2 new songs to be released with new compilation acr:set - now that's exciting. The first of which is called Make It Happen the other Dirty Boy.

The new tracks were recorded in the band's home town Manchester. The album is made up of tracks that feature in the band鈥檚 live show and includes rare 7鈥� and 12鈥� mixes alongside the two new recordings and sleeve notes by DJ and writer Dave Haslam.

ACR live is Jez Kerr, Donald Johnson, Martin Moscrop, Denise Johnson, Tony Quigley and recent addition on keyboards, Matt Steele.

The band released their first, Martin Hannett produced, single for Factory in 1979 and went on to be hailed universally as pioneers of what became known as punk funk thanks to the success of their second single, Shack Up.
