Helen and Tom praise Johnny for holding the fort during Tom’s Nuffield graduation. When pressed by Johnny, Tom admits he spent the night with Natasha. Johnny encourages Tom to tell Hannah – but Tom dismisses this. He and Hannah were just friends with benefits, Hannah won’t mind; in fact she encouraged him. Later Hannah’s nonplussed when Tom thanks her for giving him the confidence to get together with Natasha. He confesses he’s smitten with Natasha and thinks she might be the one.

Lily looks after poorly Elizabeth, reassuring her that everything’s under control. When Russ rings to ask when Lily’s coming home, he’s understanding when Lily explains she can’t abandon Elizabeth until she’s back on her feet. But Lily hopes to be back after a few more days.

Elizabeth worries about messing up Lily’s life, but Lily admits she’s rather enjoyed organising the Ball. Later she confesses that Russ’s Manchester move hasn’t panned out how he’d hoped and also Lily wonders if she’s made a mistake living so far off campus. She feels she doesn’t fit in. Lily apologises to Elizabeth for not being around, especially with all that’s happened with Freddie. She’s been too focussed on Russ. Elizabeth’s just pleased Lily’s home and reckons Lily could run could run Lower Loxley single-handed!
