Carolyn Quinn is joined by the Solicitor General Robert Buckland; Labour's leader in the Lords, Angela Smith; the broadcaster and commentator Iain Dale; and Matt Chorley - editor of The Times Red Box website. They discuss the prospects for the Brexit process and the divisions within both the Conservative and Labour parties. Pollster Joe Twyman assesses public attitudes to a possible second referendum. There's also includes a discussion between political journalists Isabel Hardman and Rob Hutton, on how they write books in their spare time, to escape the pressures of their day jobs. And the programme ends on a festive note, as reporter John Beesley and the Capital Chorus barbershop choir perform "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".
