Zoe Ball picks the Tracks of My Years ahead of launching the brand new Radio 2 Breakfast show. Zoe is the third presenter to host the show in recent years after Chris Evans took over from Sir Terry Wogan as the presenter in January 2010. Sir Terry first began presenting the Radio 2 Breakfast Show from 1972 (at the age of 34) – December 1984, after which he left to concentrate on TV work. He returned to the programme in 1992 and continued until December 2009, when he moved to a Sunday morning show, Weekend Wogan. Zoe first joined ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio in October 1997 as the co-host the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with co-presenter Kevin Greening. From October 1998 to March 2000, Zoe hosted the programme solo, the first female to do so. Zoe has been a regular voice on Radio 2 since 2006, presenting various documentaries and providing holiday cover for Chris Evans, Ken Bruce and Dermot O’Leary. From June 2009 to January 2012, Zoe presented the Saturday early morning breakfast show, returning permanently to Radio 2 in March 2017 as the host of the Saturday afternoon show. Zoe has also been the host of Strictly: It Takes Two since 2011, the hugely popular entertainment show which accompanies Strictly Come Dancing. Zoe was also a contestant on the show during 2005, reaching the final with her partner Ian Waite and finishing third.
Zoe also famously presented the Saturday morning children’s TV show Live & Kicking on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One alongside Jamie Theakston between 1996-1999.
