Flo and Joan, Glasgow's Pavilion Theatre, Devin Dawson
American country music singer-songwriter Devin Dawson live in session. Plus we are backstage at the Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow to hear about its remarkable history.
Grant Stott talks to award-winning musical comedy duo Flo and Joan ahead of their upcoming Scottish dates. The suspiciously unsimilar sisters’ all-new hour is filled with darkly witty/wittily dark numbers on weddings, sex robots and crisps for women - although probably not all in the same song!
British pianist and Emmy Award-Winning composer Gavin Greenaway, will be discussing his eagerly anticipated 2nd solo album, Woven.
He will also hear from the winner of the Scottish Book Trust’s Bookbug Picture Book Prize 2019 - as voted for by school children.
And in the first part of a new series of occasional features in which our reporter Bob Dickson celebrates Scotland’s rich and varied theatre heritage, we go backstage at the Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow to hear about its remarkable history as a much loved palace of varieties for the people of Glasgow.
All that and ahead of his sold out Scottish concert in Glasgow, Grant has managed to land American country music singer-songwriter, and rising star, Devin Dawson for a live studio session: he went from Heavy Metal to Country Music’s ‘Dark Horse’ becoming one of Nashville’s most meticulous songwriters!
