DJ Deeon
The Godfather of Ghetto House, DJ Deeon, shakes the Radio 1 turntables, mixing live on two CDJs with a stack of exclusive edits and remixes.
DJ Deeon, the pioneering DJ and producer from the south side of Chicago, was a key member of the legendary Dance Mania label in the 1990's, releasing over thirty singles across four years. He was name checked by Daft Punk on 鈥楾eachers鈥�, and Daft Punk also played his tunes in their legendary 1997 Essential Mix.
He鈥檚 found a new audience in recent years with reissues on Numbers, releases on Exploited and Defected and remixes for The Martinez Brothers and Redlight. He has music coming out in 2019 on Patrick Topping鈥檚 new label Trick and Drumcode. And he鈥檚 relaunching his own label Freak Mode.
