Stuart hears from Jonathan and Grasshopper of indie-rockers Mercury Rev about their forthcoming album

Stuart presents solo and hears from Jonathan Donahue, Jesse Chandler and Sean 'Grasshopper' Mackowiak of indie-rock outfit Mercury Rev. The American band found fame in the 1990's particularly with their 1998 album Deserter's Songs which spawned popular singles 'Goddess on a Hiway' and 'Delta Sun Bottleneck Stomp'. Their latest record is a re-imagining of the 1968 Bobbie Gentry album The Delta Sweete. It features guest vocals from the likes of Hope Sandoval, Vashti Bunyan, Beth Orton, Norah Jones, Marissa Nadler, Lucinda Williams, Susanne Sundf酶r, Phoebe Bridges and Laetitia Sadier. The album, titled 'Bobbie Gentry鈥檚 The Delta Sweete Revisited', is released next month.
