James Morrison performs live
James Morrison performs live in the Radio 2 Piano Room and legendary record producer Trevor Horn picks the Tracks of My Years.
James Morrison performs live in the Radio 2 Piano Room with music from his new album You're Stronger Than You Know. With two number one albums, five Top 10 singles, a BRIT Award and 7 million sales, James Morrison is one of the biggest success stories of his era. For the first time in his career, Morrison made the record with one producer (Mark Taylor) which infuses it with a cohesiveness that’s a hallmark of all of the classic albums. British Grove Studios in London provided the perfect location for recording with a balance between vintage equipment and modern technology. The Radio 2 Piano Room has also seen performances from Gary Barlow, Joan Armatrading, James Blunt and The Shires.
Trevor Horn, the legendary record producer picks the Tracks of My Years with songs from Dionne Warwick and The Beatles. His latest album ‘Trevor Horn Reimagines The 80s’ sees Trevor work with a range of artists including Robbie Williams, Seal, Jim Kerr and All Saints as he recreates versions of classic songs from the 80s, including Everybody Wants To Rule The World and Ashes To Ashes.
Trevor gained international acclaim following his 1979 hit single Video Killed The Radio Star, written with his band The Buggles. The track was a worldwide success, reaching number 1 in the singles charts in sixteen different countries. Trevor was then briefly the lead vocalist in progressive rock band Yes before he decided to focus his attentions on production work. He has since worked with the likes of Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Pet Shop Boys, Seal and Robbie Williams and has won three Brit Awards, a Grammy and an Ivor Novello award.
