Has Theresa May finally got the legal assurances that will convince doubters to vote for her Brexit deal?
Has Theresa May finally got the legal assurances that will convince doubters to vote for her Brexit deal? Last night the Prime Minister emerged from last ditch talks in Strasbourg with claims she had won legally binding changes to her Brexit deal that MPs should now accept. European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker urged MPs to support the agreement and warned there would be no further negotiations. The head of the ERG, the hard line Brexiteer group, Jacob Rees-Mogg said he was waiting to hear what the DUP made of the new additions to the withdrawal agreement. So a massive decision for the DUP this morning. Will they back Theresa May's Brexit deal now? Stephen spoke to Economics and Business editor John Campbell, TUV MLA Jim Allister and Alliance MLA Stephen Farry.
Also on the programme, "most if not all" of those shot in Ballymurphy "were not IRA", the former commanding officer of a key battalion in the Parachute Regiment has said. General Sir Geoffrey Howlett was giving evidence at the Ballymurphy Inquest. It is examining the deaths of 10 people in west Belfast in August 1971. John Teggart's father was killed in the shootings. He spoke to Stephen this morning and gave his reaction.
And, Ruth got in touch with us about her son 10 year old son, Micah. Micah has special educational needs but he has been out of school for six months. His mum Ruth told Stephen what has been going on, and we got reaction from Commissioner for Children and Young People Koulla Yisouma.
