The Ulster Orchestra performs Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich

The Ulster Orchestra performs Anna Clyne鈥檚 The Midnight Hour, Ingrid Fliter joins them for Chopin's Piano Concerto No 2, and the afternoon ends with Shostakovich鈥檚 Symphony No 10.

Anna Clyne鈥檚 powerfully evocative 鈥淭he Midnight Hour鈥 starts off today鈥檚 concert from the Ulster Orchestra under Eivind Gullberg Jensen. It draws inspiration from two poems 鈥淟a musica鈥 by Juan Ram贸n Jim茅nez and Harmonie du soir by Charles Baudelaire. Ingrid Fliter joins them for the ever-popular 2nd Piano Concerto by Chopin. Rafael Payare rounds off the afternoon with Shostakovich鈥檚 mighty 10th Symphony.
