The Passionate Piano

Javier Perianes plays music from Poland, France and his native Spain.

Live from Queen Elizabeth Hall at London's Southbank Centre.

Making his International Piano Series debut, Javier Perianes performs two of Chopin鈥檚 most emotionally-charged works: the Nocturnes Op 48; and his final large-scale composition for the piano, the Third Sonata.

The second half opens with Debussy's Estampes, musical explorations of geographical regions including East Asia, Granada and Normandy, and the recital concludes with the exuberant music of Perianes' native Spain in works by Falla.
