A state of emergency is declared in Sri Lanka as authorities try to close in on the group they claim is responsible for the deadly Easter Sunday suicide bombings.
A state of emergency is in effect in Sri Lanka after Easter Sunday's deadly suicide bomb attacks.
The death toll from the explosions in hotels and Catholic churches has risen to 290.
At least 8 of those killed were from Britain. 5 hundred other people were injured.
The government has blamed a little-known local jihadist group, called National Thowheed Jamath, and says it carried out the attacks with help from outside Sri Lanka. However, no-one has yet admitted carrying out the bombings.
