Edi stark is at Easter Road in Edinburgh to meet Leeann Dempster, chief executive of Hibernian Football Club. In a very frank interview, she talks to Edi about her upbringing in the east end of Glasgow, the prejudice she witnessed and leaving school and home at seventeen, barely able to pay the bills. Disappointed not to get into the army because of a sight problem, her first job was as a funeral undertaker. She then moved into advertising and met travel business entrepreneur John Boyle who invited her to work at Motherwell football club which he owned. She transformed the team and was then head hunted for Hibs. She talks to Edi about her experiences with both teams and about the relationship that means most….her partnership with the woman she met in her twenties who changed her life.
