Episode 2

In the north of Scotland, the judges see a converted steading in Boat of Garten, an eco-home in Findhorn and a restored castle near Tain. Only one can win through to the final.

In this new series, three property experts search the country on the hunt for Scotland’s Home of the Year. They are architect and university teacher Michael Angus, renowned Glasgow-based interior designer Anna Campbell-Jones and globally recognised lifestyle blogger Kate Spiers.

This time, they are in the north of Scotland, to see a striking conversion near Boat of Garten. It was once dilapidated steadings but is now a stunning home with views over the Cairngorm National Park. They look at an ‘upside down’ eco-home in the spiritual community of Findhorn and a painstakingly restored 16th-century medieval castle, complete with secret passages, near Tain in Ross-shire.

The judges will score each of them out of ten for functionality, distinctiveness and clever design - but only one of them can win through to the final.
