Comedian, writer and musician Al Murray shares his recollections of the 1970s with Johnnie.

Al Murray is rather famous for his incarnation as 'The Pub Landlord'. However, Al has many strings to his considerable bow. He's also a gifted drummer, a presenter, a writer, and a keen cricket fan, as well as being a comedian and satirist.
Born in Buckinghamshire to a military family, Al graduated from Oxford and began his career with fellow comedian Harry Hill on Radio 4. He's also a descendant of novelist William Makepeace Thackeray, who wrote the classic 'Vanity Fair'. When he's not doing comedy, Al can often be found behind a drumkit. He played in the rock band T-34 and even appeared with them at Europe's biggest rock festival here in the UK, Download. He's even duetted with Phil Collins on drums! And now, he's collaborating with 'Fat Cops' on a new release - once again on drums. Elsewhere, Al is getting ready to go out on the road again as 'The Pub Landord' on a UK tour starting in May.
