Sean Rafferty presents a lively mix of music and arts news with live performance from soprano Albina Shagimuratova, who will be appearing in Donizetti's Il Paria at the Barbican this weekend as part of Opera Rara's collaboration with the Britten Sinfonia. We hear, too, from the guitarist Tom Kerstens who'll play in the studio and talk about his new album. The director Rodula Gaitanou and conductor Matthew Kofi Waldren pop by, also, ahead of their production of Un ballo in maschera, which opens at Opera Holland Park on Saturday.
