Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Catch-22, and the man who shaped Britpop
Janice Forsyth speaks to Phill Savidge, known as the man who shaped Britpop, plus reviews of the new Kate Atkinson novel, and Catch-22, a TV adaptation of Joseph Heller's novel.
Janice speaks to Phill Savidge, who ran a PR company in the 1990s representing bands like Blur, Pulp, Suede and Elastica. He is even credited with instigating Britpop.
He now recounts those days in his memoir Lunch With the Wild Frontiers.
Playwright Rona Munro tells Janice about adapting Louis de Bernieres bestselling novel Captain Correlli鈥檚 Mandolin for the stage, as the touring show comes to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
