Mr Bongo Label Trunk of Funk

Tonight we celebrate the Mr Bongo record label as they hit their 30th birthday.

Tonight we celebrate the Mr Bongo record label as they hit their 30th birthday. It all started way back in 1989, underneath Daddy Kool鈥檚 reggae shop on Berwick Street in West London, and eventually became the Brighton-based label and publisher for lots of Brazilian, Latin, African, Jazz, Soul, Reggae and Psychedelic genres. Dave Bongo stops by with a suitcase all of the freshest Mr Bongo sounds and a selection of tunes charting the label鈥檚 history.
