Out of Doors on the Isle of Man, Part One
Mark Stephen and Euan McIlwraith visit the Isle of Man. They take a boat trip to the Calf of Man, eat Manx Kippers, visit Laxey waterwheel and delight in a steam train journey.
Mark Stephen and Euan McIlwraith visit the Isle of Man. Their journey starts off with a boat trip to the wildlife reserve on the Calf of Man. They hear about the basking sharks and bird life in the area.
Next stop, Creagneash Village to step back in time to the traditional Manx way of life. They sample some Manx kippers at Moore's Kippers in Peel, travel to the most northerly point of the island, Point of Ayre to look across to the Mull of Galloway and the mountains of Mourne.
Laxey Waterwheel is the largest waterwheel in world and Mark found out how it all works. Dr Okell set up a brewery in the Isle of Man in the 1800s which still operates today within the purity laws devised at that time. Mark and Euan take a small sip of Okell's brewery latest beer and take the Isle of Man steam train back to Douglas
